SCHENECTADY, NY – April 18, 2017 – SI Group, a leading global developer and manufacturer of chemical intermediates, specialty resins and solutions, announced today the appointment of Mary Kay Kaufmann to the company’s board of directors. Ms. Kaufmann brings with her over 30 years of experience in the water treatment and environmental services industries, having retired from Ecolab (NYSE: ECL) in 2014, where she served as Senior Vice President and General Manager of Water & Process Services (WPS) Global Light Industry. Prior to that role, she was Senior Vice President of WPS Americas and Vice President of Integration for the Ecolab and Nalco merger that culminated in 2012.

“Mary Kay has extensive global expertise in the water treatment and environmental services industries,” said Frank Bozich, President and CEO for SI Group. “Her experience aligns with our mission to develop innovative solutions that address complex global challenges like resource scarcity, environmental preservation and energy conservation. During her time with Nalco (now Ecolab), Ms. Kaufmann held several leadership positions for which her responsibilities ranged from division and regional oversight, to Chief Marketing Officer including investor relations, to mergers and acquisitions. Over this 34-year period, she was responsible for substantial top-line sales growth, a company rebranding, among other significant accomplishments. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Ms. Kaufmann serves on the Board of Directors of Water For People, an international nonprofit organization working across nine countries to provide safe drinking water and sanitation for underdeveloped countries in India, Latin America and Africa.
